Lyndon Murgatroyd has been connected with St James Church for the past 10 years.
He is retired and currently secretary of St James Parochial Church Council. Lyndon is also a representative for St James on Churches Together in Congleton. He also represents the church in Churches Together Prayer Circle.

Lyndon has been heavily involved in the fund raising for the recent roof appeal and continues to try and raise money for the remaining part of the roof renovation. Other interests include working for charities namely the British Heart Foundation and Congleton Museum Trust and writing.

He is currently the author of two local history books and soon will be embarking on a new project with Meeka Jackson, that of jointly writing the history of St James the great Parish Church.
